RIDER PROFILE: DANIEL PULLEN
Phil Beer of Tibbs Cycles gives us the low-down on his new sponsored rider:
Daniel Pullen has been blowing everyone away in his age group through the winter and considering Daniel has only been riding a short while, he would appear
to be star rider in the making.
“His racing career only really started last year with most of his racing, taking place at Hersden BMX track down in Canterbury,
Kent. He did race at some summer regionals with fair results and was also invited to the Brits, but crashed out in the semi. However this result I feel was still
very good considering where he was racing and with little experience of this type of meeting.
“It was really Justin Esson that spoke to me about Daniel, so I watched him for a couple of meetings and was very impressed with his skill and overall positive
attitude towards his fellow racers etc. It was at the first winter regional meeting that I then offered him sponsorship. He was very excited by this and could
not wait to get a ride on his new bike.
“Ok basically the deal is that Daniel has received an '07 Haro Group1 race bike as well has his Thor race kit c/o Myself And
Tibbs Cycle Store and will get upgrades to his machine as the season progresses. Kenda tyres are
also exclusively providing rubber for both his bike (and mine) and I am hoping to get some input from Kenda's marketing department.
“Daniel has said to me on many occasions that it is his new bike that has really enabled him to get better results and has also improved his riding.
“My intention is to continue to support Daniel for the foreseeable future and support him at every level. I believe that he will certainly be a strong rider in
his age group with continued success. His racing this year will be at regional level with the Brits at the end of the year also being attended.
“I have great hopes for him and I am sure he will deliver.”
