On Saturdays, four training sessions are held aimed at the following levels of expertise: Beginner, Novice, Intermediate and Expert.

Important Documents.

Constitution.

Hayes Hawks is a voluntary organisation, affiliated with British Cycling (club profile page here, https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/club/profile/57/hayes-hawks-bmx-club).

The club’s constitution can be accessed on the Club Constitution Page.

Code Of Conduct.

As a club, we want any of our members to be able to attend club events safe in the knowledge that they will find an inclusive and welcoming environment. We all want to have fun, right? The Code Of Conduct sets out how we expect our members and any persons related to them to conduct themselves.

Rider Pathway.

The Rider Pathway sets out the skills and competencies that the various levels of training sessions that the club puts on are aiming to develop in any riders attending those sessions. The Rider Pathway also sets out the skills a rider must be able to demonstrate in order to progress from one level to the next. It is important to note however, that progression remains at the discretion of the coaches. They will act on the basis of what is best for any rider.

Safeguarding.

As a British Cycling affiliated club, Hayes Hawks are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all its members. The club pays particular attention to the children and vulnerable adults who use its services. For information regarding safeguarding policies, and how to report any incidents that occur, please see the British Cycling Safeguarding microsite, https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/safeguarding.

Other policies.

As an affiliated club, we benefit from our ability to use British Cycling’s policies and procedures. As such, those policies and procedures form the basis of all that we do. However, it may be the case that the club identifies an area where it wishes to have its own policies. In such a case, the club will develop its own policy, and the club’s policy will serve to form an extension of the relevant British Cycling policy. There may be cases where the club’s policy replaces some aspects of the British Cycling ones.
